Aloe Vera contains up to 96% water and many moisture retentive polysaccharides. Scientists have isolated glucose, mannose, arabinose, galactose and xylose polysaccharides from Aloe Vera constituents.
Polysaccharides are known to act as moisturizers, hydrating the skin.
